We Exist to Save Lives
The Sparrow's Nest will be paying off the rest of our building in order to direct future funds directly towards those who are displaced, on the streets, in shelters, or who may also struggle under the federal poverty line.
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!

Hey y'all we are hoping to pay off the rest of our building in order to direct future funds directly towards the services that we provide to the Athens, GA and surrounding community in need.
We initially started this ministry here on Prince Ave. because we saw a need for the less fortunate and those who are displaced throughout our city. To meet this need we began serving breakfast and lunch meals, providing clothing, showers, laundry services, emergency canned goods, GA Birth Certificates, ID's, Rx assistance, and referrals to other agencies.
Within the past couple of years we have started Breaking Cycle & Getting it Right classes for individuals to overcome their circumstances and have had over 65 graduates with job opportunities.

Over the past several months, we have re-assessed the need of our community and have began A Clean & Safe Athens initiative. We will be partnering with Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful (KACCB) and ACC Solid Waste Department to clean the city streets once a week in order to reduce waste, litter, and keep our community beautiful. Starting off we have up to 10 homeless clients that will be paid $10hr. for 2hrs a day, as well as breakfast and lunch, to clean the streets within the Athens Community. Our hope is to expand this program to 20 homeless clients and to open up additional hour opportunities.

Thank you so much for taking time to read, pray, and partner with us as we continue to serve our community and restore hope to those in need.
