The Sparrow’s Nest is a non-profit, Christ-centered ministry that exists to save lives. We do this through the power of God and nurturing relationships.
By creatively meeting the needs of a population at risk, we build trust, which is the doorway to hope and transformation. This relationship, built on trust, allows us to meet the basic needs of our Clients while assisting them to find a healthy way into a brighter and better future. Our goal is to restore people back to their God-given purpose and identity in Christ.
Your donation directly translates to assisting a group of individuals to better their lives and become the people God made them to be. The generosity of this community has allowed The Sparrow's Nest to provide food, clothing, laundry services, cold weather supplies, teacher-instructed employment training, and other basic necessities to our Clients. These services are life-changing and we are so thankful to all who give monthly and yearly of their time, talents, and finances.
Opportunities for donating are below:
- General Fund (food, clothing, laundry services, administrative, community events, etc)
- Breaking the Cycle Program Fund
- Clean Streetz Program Fund
- Event Sponsorship Fund
- Thanksgiving Fund
- Christmas Fund
Donation amounts provide the following to our Clients:
- $670 - Provides total cost of one Client to enroll and complete our Breaking the Cycle class
- $500 - Provides total cost of one work day of the Clean Streetz Program
- $250 - Provides 10 Birth Certificates to Clients in need
- $100 - Provides 100 meals
- $50 - Provides 196 loads of laundry
- $25 - Provides 5 State IDs
- $5 - Provides 14 hot showers to our Clients
For as low as $5, you can help provide necessary services to our Clients and the community. No donation is too small and we appreciate anything you can give to help further our mission. We are thankful for all that you do to help us grow and serve the community of Athens. Your help is needed and appreciated!
